2016 SABE LECTURE SERIES ‘PRACTICE MATTERS’: MIKE CURTIS

The 2016 School of Architecture & Built Environment Lecture Series will showcase a wide range of projects, global trends and practice styles from local, national and international industry experts within the Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Industrial Design and Construction Management professions.

Held within Newcastle City Centre the fortnightly lecture series will provide valuable exposure and insight to the professions as well as networking opportunities for students, industry and the local community.

Join us every fortnight at 5:30pm for an exciting and memorable guest presentation followed by a social get together with nibbles and drinks.

Watt Space Gallery is located at University House Cnr King and Auckland Street, Newcastle (entrance off Auckland St)
The presentation will be held in the Mulubinba Room at the Newcastle Town Hall (290 King St, Newcastle NSW 2300).

Mike Curtis is currently employed as Hansen Yuncken’s Senior Project Manager on UON’s landmark ‘NeW Space’ Business & Law School project in the centre of Newcastle. He is a highly experienced Construction professional who has enjoyed both executive contractor and client representative roles in the design, construction and management of complex capital projects both in Australia and internationally (England, Nigeria, Vietnam and Malaysia).
 In his capacity as Hansen Yuncken’s leader on NeW Space, Mike offers the project experience in liaison between clients, stakeholders, regulatory authorities and designers, plus proven expertise in planning, problem-solving and project delivery.
