It’s hard to believe that we are already into the second month of a new year!
Don’t forget that nominations and submissions (combined) close for this year’s Professional Excellence Awards at the end of the month. That means you must have both parts of ‘the process’ completed and in the hands of the team here at the National Office by this time to be in the running.
Last week I had the pleasure of catching up with a number of members while I was in Hobart on business. This included Claire Vervaart who is the Vice President of our Committee in Tasmania. I am delighted to say that Claire will soon step up as a National Council representative and represent the Apple Isle. It is also worthy of note that as we continue to strive for gender equity, Claire’s appointment is especially important.
Claire brings with her enormous experience from the profession and is also now on our National Membership Services Committee – contributing to build a greater Value Proposition for our membership.
Finally this week, Curtin University (WA) is keen to appoint seasoned industry professionals who have flair for teaching as tutors in their Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management program.
Successful candidates will teach undergraduate students in areas relating to quantity measurement, construction tech, project management, cost management, law and contracts, as well as research, communication and practice. They will grade students and may be invited to deliver lectures occasionally.
Just search Curtin’s career website where there are currently a number of positions available.
Have a great weekend ahead everyone.
