Infrastructure Australia is an independent body which provides expert advice to the Commonwealth Government on infrastructure issues. One of its roles is to assess the business cases of infrastructure projects to determine their suitability for investment by the Commonwealth Government. An Infrastructure Australia assessment is required before any Commonwealth investment in a project of over $100 million.
