As you read this we have already held both the ACT and SA Professional Excellence Awards. It was great to bring the ACT Awards ‘back home’ with many who attended commenting on the relaxed and somewhat informal stand up function. Equally in Adelaide, our organising team decided to ramp up the stakes and utilise a bigger setting at the National Wine Centre which also proved to be popular. My sincere congratulations to all winners of both High Commendations and Professional Excellence Awards to date. Click ACT and SA for the full list of winners and head to our AIB Facebook page to view the photos.
We are off to Brisbane tomorrow (14/06) before we head to Hong Kong to stage their second only Awards which is gaining some real traction. Chapter President, Henry NG and his Chapter Committee have really got behind this to ensure that it not only develops a local flavour with ‘local awards’, but also to promote entries that feed into our national program here in Australia.
Constructing Our World continues to gather momentum and is certainly being talked about in a number of circles. We have just announced another fringe event tour – this time on the Saturday immediately following the conference – taking in a full day tour of the revitalised Newcastle precinct (just north of Sydney) as well as a number of other stops along the way. Details of this tour as well as the Wednesday prior to the conference can be found here.
